Customers can define various specifications, such as the number of I/Os, CAN interfaces, and Wi-Fi or Bluetooth functionality.

The LCD screen size and shape can be adapted, ranging from 2 to 12.3 inches.

Optically or air-bonded screen

Optically or air-bonded screen

While air-bonded screens are more cost-effective, optically bonded screens offer higher display brightness, making them better suited for direct sunlight and ideal for outdoor applications.

The operating system running on the MConn board is based on Linux. Custom Linux distributions can be developed according to customer requirements. At MRS, we utilize the Yocto Framework, which provides the flexibility to align precisely with the unique needs of our clients, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.

Cloud Connectivity

Cloud Connectivity

One application example is Cloud Connectivity, which must be implemented at the OS level, such as Updates via Over-the-Air (OTA) or USB. Cloud Connectivity can be achieved through various means, such as Wi-Fi, MQTT real-time data transfer to an HTTP server, or a Web app.

Board Support Package

Board Support Package

If required we provide a complete Software package to the customer, allowing them to work on and maintain it independently. This package is known as a Board Support Package (BSP).

Note: The MConn board can also function as a Custom Linux-Based Computer without a Display.

Fire Truck

When Fire Trucks are in use, operations have to run reliable and smooth. In this project, the MConn display serves as a user-friendly replication of the vehicle's back control panel. The MConn board connects to the vehicle via CANopen, established by a custom communication protocol over the CAN bus. This integration streamlines operations by extending the functionality of traditional analog circuitry. The MConn display provides real-time monitoring of various sensors and the ability to adjust pump RPM through a simple touch interface, ensuring efficient management and monitoring of fire truck operations. This comprehensive functionality, coupled with a 7-inch touch screen and swipeable QT application, enhances both functionality and user experience, ensuring effective control and monitoring of operations.
